Norm Macdonald: medical insights and laughter
Norm is a gift to our species. I’m glad there are scientists and AI researchers out there but I’d trade all of them for one Norm. Here he once agains speaks truth to the bodyguards of political correctness and. . .well, he makes me laugh. There are different types of laughter: fake laughter, mean or cruel laughter, other types of laughter that I assume could be categorized in some way, and then there is that mysterious release that comes from staring darkness in the face and not being too goddamned solemn about it. Norm elicits the lattermost in me so I love the dude. I don’t drink much but I once had a gambling problem and several reliable journalistic sources suggest that Norm has or had a problem with gambling too so I feel even more of a connection with his work.
