Sandor Has a Perfectly Polite Conversation with Alice

I chose this particular clip of the Sandor/Alice dance scene in Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut because it’s the one scene in the move the directly refers to the necessity of Shadow in contemporary marriage. Kudos to Turowiesky for his creative integrative subtext. This scene so elegantly distills the intrinsic Shadow element to public proclamations of sexual fidelity.

Scene Analysis of the Hungarian dance. Screenwriters: Stanley Kubrick was an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is frequently cited as one of the greatest and most influential directors in cinematic history.
